Who We Are...

History Our Company

D&L Fabricating is a family-owned and operated business that was established in 1977 by Don and Lorraine Herb. Their son, Robin Herb, worked alongside them from the beginning and helped run the business. In June 2000, Don Herb retired, and Robin Herb became the owner of D&L Fabricating, Inc.

In 2006, Robin Herb’s daughter, Robin White, joined the family business. She had the privilege of working alongside both her grandfather and father for many years. Over time, Robin White became an integral part of D&L Fabricating, and it became her passion to eventually take over the business as its third-generation owner. In 2020, she proudly assumed ownership of D&L Fabricating, Inc.

With great sadness, we record that Robin Herb passed away in August 2023. He, along with his parents, were Robin White’s greatest role models, imparting valuable lessons throughout her life.

D&L Fabricating has thrived by building long-lasting relationships with customers, many of whom become like family. Through hard work and dedication, D&L Fabricating, Inc. continues to grow and carry on the legacy of its founders. Robin White is committed to maintaining the values and traditions established by her father and grandparents as she leads the business into the future.

Our Capabilities...

We Provide Diverse Capabilities to Meet Your Needs

We prioritize the delivery of high-quality outcomes with a focus on efficiency and effectiveness.

Strong, precise, fused metal connections.

Welding

Welding is a skilled process that joins metal parts together by melting and fusing them to create a strong, permanent bond. It is essential in construction and manufacturing, especially when working with structural steel, to ensure stability and durability in buildings and other projects. Our certified welders use advanced techniques and equipment to deliver precise, high-quality welds that meet strict safety and engineering standards. Whether it’s for fabricating new components or repairing existing structures, welding is the backbone of reliable metalwork that stands the test of time.

Misc. Steel Fabrication

Miscellaneous steel fabrication basically means that if you have any idea that's made from steel, we can fabricate it for you. Some examples would be handrail, stairs, embeds, templates. We also can make your ADOT transportation cattle guards. Bring us your ideas and we will make it for you.

Structural Steel Fabrication

Structural steel fabrication is the process of cutting, shaping, and assembling steel components to create the essential framework for buildings, bridges, and other infrastructure. It involves precise measuring, cutting, welding, and sometimes bending steel to meet specific design requirements. This fabrication ensures that steel parts fit together perfectly to provide strength, stability, and durability in construction projects. Our expert team uses advanced equipment and skilled craftsmanship to deliver high-quality structural steel that supports safe and long-lasting structures tailored to your needs.

High-precision metal cutting process.

Plasma Cutting

Steel plasma cutting is a high-precision process that uses a powerful, electrically charged gas stream to cut through thick steel quickly and accurately. By creating an intense plasma arc, this method melts and blows away metal along the desired cutting path, allowing for clean, smooth edges with minimal heat distortion. Plasma cutting is ideal for fabricating structural steel components because it delivers fast, precise cuts on a variety of steel thicknesses, improving efficiency and quality in the manufacturing process. Whether for intricate shapes or straight cuts, plasma cutting helps ensure our steel parts meet exact specifications for strength and fit.

Cambering

Structural cambering is the process of intentionally bending steel beams or components to counteract expected loads and deflections once installed in a building or structure. By pre-curving these steel elements, engineers ensure that when weight and stress are applied, the beams will straighten out and maintain optimal alignment and strength. This technique improves the overall stability and durability of the structure, preventing sagging and uneven surfaces over time. Cambering is a critical step in fabricating high-quality structural steel, especially for bridges, floors, and long-span beams, helping buildings perform safely and efficiently.
